I have been interested in arts and crafts for as long as I can remember.  My mom has always had something creative going on and she made sure us kids were a part of it, giving our creativity room to grow.  Growing up in such an environment I found I was only limited by my imagination.  I have tried nearly everything at least once! I can sew, quilt, knit, embroider, and paint (water, acrylic, latex and oil).  I began to explore the field of surface design in college.  Surface design refers to the way that a fabric is decorated.  This includes things such as the color and the print of a fabric as well as embroidery.   Silk painting is a small slice of the surface design pie and is a medium I love working in.  I find it intoxicating the way vivid colors shimmer on luxurious silk.

I began to explore mixed media next.  I enjoy working with industrial products or things that you may not normally think of as beautiful and transform them into something sensational.  Cement board creates a perfect matting for latex paint embellished with nuts, bolts and washers.

I have recently been inspired to paint with oil and acrylic on canvas.  I am partial to taking something that may seem simple, magnifying it, blowing it up and painting the world as I see it.

No matter what medium I am working with one thing remains constant, the use of bold, bright and beautiful colors.

I was born in Richland, WA and lived in the Tri-City area before moving to the Tacoma area.  I moved back to Pasco and finished high school in 2005.  My junior and senior years were spent at Columbia Basin College through the Running Start program.  This program enabled me to have my Associate's Degree by the end of Fall quarter 2005 at the age of 18.

I began working in the medical field in 2008 but continued to play in the art field.  I married my amazing, supportive wife in the fall of 2014 and a year later we moved to Spokane, WA.

I have been honored to show my work in many locations such as; Columbia Basin College’s student art show (Pasco, WA), Allied Arts (Richland, WA) and You and I Framing & Gallery (Kennewick, WA).

My works are in many private collections and I was honored to have Trios Health in Kennewick purchase five of my pieces to grace the walls of their Infusion Center.  It feels amazing to know that my art was selected to bring comfort to those that are going through such a difficult time in their life.
